Tennis for Free at Knightswood Park

It's certainly been an exciting year for Tennis and looking to make the most of people's new found enthusiasm for the sport, Tennis charity 'Tennis For Free' has partnered up with Drumchapel Tennis Club, Glasgow Life and Tennis Scotland to offer 1 hours of free tennis sessions for 50 weeks of the year.
People of all ages, backgrounds and abilities are invited to join in the fun.

Tennis For Free’s CEO Paul Jessop commented, 'We're delighted to be running TFF at Knightswood Park Tennis Courts. We're trying to get as many people trying out tennis at no cost as possible. We're hoping to get the whole family down to Knightswood as the sessions cater for all ages and standards. It's free family fun, promoting fitness and wellbeing for all abilities. We're really proud of the work we're doing here and we hope the attendees will enjoy the sessions as much as we do'

Neil Haig, Community Tennis Coordinator for Glasgow Sport said 'Glasgow Sport is delighted Knightswood Park will host Glasgow’s first weekly Tennis For Free session. All sections of the community now have the chance to play and enjoy 4  floodlit tennis courts with local coaches from Drumchapel Tennis Club. As well as keeping you fit and active, tennis is a fun, fast and exciting sport that anyone can play. We’re thrilled to be working with the Tennis For Free and Drumchapel Tennis Club to help more people in Glasgow enjoy a great sport, free of charge!'

Peter Watt of Drumchapel Tennis Club also commented 'We're delighted to be part of this exciting new initiative and it is great to see so much interest in the sport. Tennis is a fantastic way to get fit and have fun. With new tennis facilities in place at Knightswood Park and now free coaching on offer every week, it would be crazy not to pick up a racket and join in. We might even discover our next Wimbledon champ'
